Facebook, I guess everyone knows that. Well, nearly. How about Mark Zuckerberg? I bet many teenagers won’t even know who that Mark is. But most “techwiz” should know him by now, and quite a number will be worshipping him. The rest? Let’s just say “hater’s gonna hate”. The 26-year-old dude’s a billionaire right now, and that makes him among the few to be a billionaire at such a young age.

Mark Zuckerberg has already been a ‘generous’ billionaire as he’d given $100 million to the Newark school system back in September. But now, he’s on a roll. The 26-year-old has just joined Bill Gates, Paul Allen, David Rockefeller, George Lucas and many more billionaires in promising to give half of his money to charity. Mark Zuckerberg has just joined Bill Gates and Warren Buffett’s ‘The Giving Pledge.’ That should be good news.

The Giving Pledge encourages billionaires to give their money to charity at any time, before or after they die. However, in his letter to the foundation, Zuckerberg said he would be giving the money away while he was still young.

“People wait until late in their career to give back. But why wait when there is so much to be done?” Zuckerberg said in a statement. “With a generation of younger folks who have thrived on the success of their companies, there is a big opportunity for many of us to give back earlier in our lifetime and see the impact of our philanthropic efforts,” he said.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Zuckerberg is among 16 new billionaires to join the Pledge; AOL co-founder Steve Case, investor Carl Icahn and Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz have all promised to give half their wealth to charity too. But then again, do remember that he’s worth around $7 billion, but that’s money not seen. His actual ‘savings’ might be around $2-$4 billion. Then again, giving half of those, he’s still a billionaire.

Buaya Tembaga terdampar di Pantai Teluk Chempedak

KUANTAN: Pengunjung pantai peranginan Teluk Chempedak di sini malam tadi digemparkan dengan penemuan seekor buaya tembaga seberat kira-kira 200 kilogram. 

Penolong Pegawai Pertahanan Awam Daerah Kuantan, Mohamad Irwanis Seni, berkata seramai lapan anggota Jabatan Pertahanan Awam Malaysia (JPAM) Kuantan bergegas ke pantai itu sebaik menerima panggilan daripada orang awam mengenai penemuan buaya berkenaan pada 8 malam.

Beliau berkata, pihaknya terus menangkap buaya berkenaan yang terdampar berhampiran kawasan batu-batu di pantai itu.

"Buaya sepanjang tiga meter itu tidak terlalu agresif ketika ditangkap," katanya di sini, hari ini. 

Katanya, reptilia berkenaan kemudian diserahkan kepada Jabatan Perlindungan Hidupan Liar dan Taman Negara (Perhilitan) Pahang lewat malam tadi. 

Pengarah Perhilitan Pahang, Khairiah Mohd Shariff, berkata reptilia itu telah dilepaskan ke habitat semulajadinya pagi ini. 

"Pengunjung Pantai Teluk Chempedak tidak perlu risau dengan penemuan buaya berkenaan kerana pantai berkenaan bukan tempat haiwan itu bermain," katanya. 
Khairiah berkata, buaya itu mungkin tersasar keluar dari habitat asalnya ketika air pasang di muara Sungai Kuantan. -
