The Walt Disney Company India, the Indian arm of the Hollywood studio, has announced its first Telugu flick with Siddharth and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles.
This yet-to-be-titled epic fantasy adventure is the company's first regional film aimed specifically at southern audiences. The film will be dubbed in Tamil, Mahesh Samat, managing director of The Walt Disney Company India, said in a statement.
Slated to release on January 2011, the movie commenced production in November last year under the direction of National Award winning Prakash Rao Kovelamudi.
It stars Lakshmi Manchu and Harshitha in important roles. The film focuses on the journey of a nine-year-old girl with special healing powers and her quest to save Sangarashtra from the tyranny of an evil Queen.
