MILA is a common and regular name now, having established herself as a pop-rock idol amidst the young music lovers in Bangladesh. Mila’s songs and music-videos showcase her cheerful personality, not to mention her courage and willingness to try out. Her mother (a Nazrul Geetee singer) played a major role in shaping up her concentration to music. From a very little age, Mila would watch her mother practice on the Harmonium, which later on she picked up. When Mila reached Class Five, because of academic pressure, she took a break from music. But the break did not vacillate her interest to music. After passing Class 10, Mila finally decided to pursue a career in singing and set herself to work hard for music. To gather fund for her 1st musical album, Mila began to do live concert shows and performances inner and outer side of Dhaka. In 2006, Mila’s 1st album ‘Phele Asha’ hit the market, by giving birth to a new dimension in Bengali pop-rock music. In 2007, Mila’s partnership with music producer Fuad brought into the market ‘Chapter 2’ with many hits like “Jatrabala” and “Baburam Shapurey”, making people sing and dance to the tunes all over the Bangladesh. Mila’s 3rd album, ‘Redefined’, brought out the versatility in her voice and performances with songs like “Dola”, “Tumi ki shara debe”, “Nirabe” and “Disco Bandar”.
