Raj slipped a 20 carot D Flawless ring into Shilpa’s finger and the actress got so emotional that she almost choked, also because she was missing sister Shamita.
After the ceremony, champagne bottles were opened and the couple raised a toast to each other.
Present at the ceremony were Shilpa and Raj’s families, and Shilpa’s close friend Kiran Bawa. No one from the film industry had been invited.
Shilpa told Raj, “You are the wind beneath my wings”, while the latter replied, “...and I’m so lucky to have a gem of a person like you”. The wedding is slated for yearend in Mumbai.
