To the delight of the franchise's fans, it has been confirmed that Lara Croft will be back - but this time without Angelina Jolie.
Uninterested in resuming the pre-Brad Pitt role, Jolie, now 35, played the daredevil archaeologist twice back in 2001 and 2003.
The next "Tomb Raider" film, slated for 2013, will be a "reboot" featuring a "young and dynamic Lara Croft," according to a release posted on Deadline.
As for not caring to embrace her past character once more, Angelina told,"I felt like that's kind of how I wanted to do it, and I don't really feel the need to do another one.
